Designer

Dining table designed for Tendo Mokko Japan in the 1960s

This piece features a white melamine top framed with solid wood edging, resting on a cross-shaped base made of molded plywood. Its design subtly evokes Scandinavian influences-most notably that of Alvar Aalto-through the refined interplay of clean geometry and warm wooden curves. The compact square format (W105 x D105 cm) comfortably seats four people. With its quiet, neutral presence, this table adapts seamlessly to a variety of interiors.

A fine example of Tendo Mokko's pioneering approach to molded plywood in Japan, where innovation meets thoughtful craftsmanship and restrained elegance.
