Charlotte Perriand's Stool from La Pierra Menta Residence, 1979

REF: 7532

Wooden stool, La Pierra Menta, 1979

Stool with four quadrangular legs joined by staggered cylindrical stretchers, introducing a subtle rhythmic balance to its structure. Designed by Charlotte Perriand as part of her interior architecture and furnishing program for the La Pierra Menta building at Les Arcs, it illustrates her pursuit of durable, functional furniture suited to communal mountain living.

Produced in 1979, this stool comes from an apartment in La Pierra Menta still entirely furnished as originally conceived. It is therefore a rare piece, preserved in its original context and directly linked to Perriand's holistic vision for the resort.

Provenance: La Pierra Menta building, Arc 1800, produced in 1979.
