Designer
Mahogany bed designed by André Sornay around 1960, produced using the patented Tigette assembly system that characterizes the Lyon workshop's production during the mid twentieth century.
The structure is made entirely of solid mahogany with clean and restrained lines. The headboard consists of a wooden frame fitted with a cream colored melamine panel, creating a subtle contrast between the warmth of the wood and the light surface. The tigette metal rod system allows visible and rational panel assembly, a technical signature developed by Sornay to modernize furniture production while maintaining a refined aesthetic.
