Designer

  • Tokujin Yoshioka

Bouquet armchair by Tokujin Yoshioka, designed in the 1980s for Moroso Italy.

The designer reflects on its creation: "The idea for Bouquet originated from an installation I crafted in October last year (2007) at Moroso's New York showroom, where I utilized approximately 30,000 paper handkerchiefs to fashion an atmosphere akin to clouds. The Bouquet armchair brings joy to its occupant, much like a bouquet uplifts its recipient. Its vibrant and delicate hues evoke unique sensations for each individual."

The seat of this armchair comprises a plush, embracing shell adorned with numerous fabric squares in white shade tones, meticulously sewn. It sits atop a pivoting base crafted from varnished steel.

Manufacturer : Moroso 1988.
