Set of six Model 3107 chairs, better known as the "Series 7", designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955.
Crafted from black lacquered moulded plywood with tubular chromed steel bases, they reflect Arne Jacobsen's pursuit of lightweight, functional furniture suited to industrial production. Their refined silhouette has made them one of the defining icons of twentieth-century Danish design.
Produced by Fritz Hansen circa 1970, this set retains its original black lacquer with an attractive patina and wear consistent with age and use. Embossed Fritz Hansen manufacturer's markings are present on the original moulded plastic cover beneath the seat.
