Vico Magistretti

Vico Magistretti (1920 - 2006)

Born into a bourgeois Milanese family, son of an architect, Vico Magistretti quickly distinguishes himself for his architectural projects and his sense of space management. In the 1950, he starts devoting more and more time to design, and collaborates with the largest Italian design editors: Artemide, Cassina, O'Luce, Kartell ... His furniture is above all simple and functional, almost minimalist. The Maralunga sofa (1973) or the Atollo lamp (1977) are good examples of his work.
