Robert et Trix Haussmann

Trix (born in 1933) and Robert Haussmann (born in 1931) are a couple of Swiss designers and architects, among the most important of the 20th century. After their marriage in 1967, they worked together under the name of Robert and Trix Haussmann. Together, they produced more than 600 projects, including the Da Capo Bar at Zürich station and many iconic pieces of Swiss design such as the mirrored seat (Knoll International, 1988). They mix inspirations, like Pop Art, and revisit the classics, often breaking with the adage that "design follows function".
In the 80s, Robert and Trix Haussmann focus again on architecture and become members of the Federation of Swiss Architects BSA in 1982. Well ahead of their time, a focus has been made on their work in the last decades, with numerous dedicated exhibitions.
