Claude Morin

Claude Morin (Born 1929)

Originally from Dieulefit, a major center for handcrafts in France, Claude Morin embarked on the adventure of glass in the 1970s. At the time, apart from that of Biot, few artisanal glass workshops existed.

He inaugurated his workshop "Le Pontil" in Dieulefit, in June 1970, and quickly met success. His sense of aesthetics, the balanced and harmonious lines of his creations, the bright colored mass-tinted glass, all in shades of green, blue, purple or orange, earned him numerous exhibitions, in France and abroad.

As a major player in the revival of Glassware in France, he created in 1978 the Association for the Development of Artistic Creation in Glass.
