Designer
This "Java" rolling table, designed by Mathieu Matégot, is part of his renowned collection presented at the Salon des Arts Ménagers in 1955.
The tubular black lacquered metal frame supports a gently undulating top tray, ideal for holding bottles, while both trays are crafted from Rigitulle-an iconic material of Matégot's design-accentuated by a square-sectioned edge. The combination of materials and forms creates a harmonious blend of elegance and functionality.
Preserved in its original condition with its striking turquoise color, the piece shows traces of use that add to its unique patina, enhancing its charm and character.
