The Womb Chair is the first result of the collaboration between Saarineen, Eames and Knoll.

It was designed in 1940 at the request of Florence Knoll, who asked for « a chair that was like a basket full of pillows ». This armchair was first edited in 1948. It was one of the first armchairs produced in series, resolutely modern for its time!

This piece is a first edition, entirely restored in a mottled black woolen cloth.

Manufactured by Knoll, circa 1970.
