Michel Cadestin (1942)
Born in 1942, Michel Cadestin is a French interior architect and designer. Graduated from the Boulle School in 1961 and from the National School of Decorative Arts in 1964, he was quickly spotted by the Teda company, which he joined in 1970.
In 1976, he wins the consultation for the Center Pompidou in Paris. For the Center, he creates the Trellis chair series, edited by Teda.
In 1983, he founds his own agency "Création Recherche" and becomes the first designer to be elected "creator of the year". His work has won numerous awards, and it is characterized by the search for a design that is at the same time functional, playful and scalable.
