Olivier Mourgue (Born 1943)
Born in 1939 and 1943, Olivier and Pascal Mourgue are two French designer brothers, graduated from the Ecole Boulle and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris.Each of them met success, with their own style. The eldest, Olivier, is known for his futuristic and pop art creations, furniture with a tubular structure covered with foam and fabric. Among its iconic pieces, the Djinn sofa: named after the geniuses of Arab culture, who can appear under animal or human forms, he though found his place in the sci-fi film, "2001, A Space Odyssey" by Stanley Kubrick.
