We love the playful spirit of this anthropomorphic box by Robert and Jean Cloutier, French ceramists renowned for their vibrant and dreamlike creations.
The piece is made of red clay with a blue and milky white slip glaze, and the lid features a raised, hat-wearing face.
Handwritten signature incised underneath: Cloutier RJ.
Provenance: Artists' Studio.
A certificate of authenticity from the Cloutier Brothers' widows will be provided to the purchaser.
