Table from the mining Town of Cansado, Mauritania, with a rectangular grey laminate top resting on a black lacquered metal structure.

Cansado is a mining town built in the 1960s by the Mauritanian Iron Mines Company "MIFERMA" to house its staff. Part of the furniture was designed by Charlotte Perriand between 1959 and 1967.
