Bench from Cansado: black lacquered metal legs, ASH slats and Midnight blue cotton velvet mattress and back.

Provenance: Executives' house in the mining town of Cansado, Mauritania.
Cansado is a mining town built in the 1960s by the Mauritanian Iron Mines Company "MIFERMA" to house its staff. Part of the furniture was designed by Charlotte Perriand between 1959 and 1967.
